The German Shorthaired Pointer has been present in Great Britain since the 1800’s and this attractive breed is very popular as a multi purpose dog. It’s great for a family pet as well as a hunting dog. This medium sized dog is well known for being a hard working breed and it’s build is evidence of that, with defined muscular bodies and a lustrous coat of short length hair that has a minimal shed. They usually have liver or black base and can have a solid coat or have either patches or spots. Their tails are customarily docked at birth to be medium length. This breed weighs an average of 50 lbs. and are incredibly intelligent and have immaculate training ability which should be put to good use as well as being known for their impeccable personalities they are extremely friendly and affectionate and thrive for attention. They get both through training and from loving families. |
